Why should I have my garbage can cleaned?

Garbage cans are a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Dirty cans give off an unpleasant odor and can attract insects and rodents. Cleaning your can regularly helps reduce the health risks that come with all of that. We recommend cleaning your garbage can on a monthly basis. Monthly cleanings help keep harmful germs and odor-causing bacteria from building up.

Do I need to be home?

No. We service your cans the day after your trash and recycling are picked up, so there's no need for you to be home.

What type of garbage cans do you clean?

We clean the standard square-tip cans provided by your local garbage company. We do not clean round cans or dumpsters.

How does the cleaning process work?

Your cans hook up to our fully self-contained cleaning truck. First we apply a non-toxic, biodegradable degreaser to loosen grime before the wash. Cans are then pressure steam cleaned inside and out, with all runoff captured in an on-board hopper. After the wash we apply a sanitizer, disinfectant and deodorant.

Monthly service (12 cleanings per year for 2 bins) is $29.99 per service (+ $6 per additional bin) Every 2 months (6 cleanings per year for 2 bins) is $34.99 per service (+ $8 per additional bin) Every 3 months (4 cleanings per year for 2 bins) is $39.99 per service (+ $10 per additional bin) Just one time (1 cleaning for 2 bins) is $75 (+ $10 per additional bin)

Do I need to renew every year?

Your plan renews automatically each year on the same schedule unless you cancel or change it before your next billing date.

Are you environmentally friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We only use non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning agents. The process uses very little water and all runoff is collected and disposed of properly. Cleaning with a garden hose uses significantly more water, and that runoff often enters the storm drain system.

How will I know my can has been cleaned?

You'll see it and smell it — plus we send you an email notification once your cleaning is complete.

Will the cleaning remove all grime?

We do our very best on every can. Heavy buildup can take a few cleaning cycles to fully break down, and our process does not remove tar, paint or oil stains.

What if there is garbage in my can?

Your can needs to be completely empty on your scheduled cleaning day so we can service it.

What if my trash and recycle are picked up on different days?

In most service areas we come the day your trash is picked up. To have the recycle bin cleaned too, please leave it empty or empty it before we arrive. If you live in Avondale or a small part of Buckeye, we service the morning after your recycling is picked up. To have the trash bin cleaned too, please leave it empty or empty it before we arrive.
